The common thread between all bands was Ed Sheeran, the hit machine is a natural at churning out wedding friendly songs. Thinking Out Loud, Perfect and Shape of You all featured on our lists.

Home grown talent also featured heavily; Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars was a popular first dance in Ireland as well as the Van Morrison Classic – Brown Eyed Girl. Kodaline’s The One was a hot contender for most requested wedding song as was the ever popular Glen Hansard – Falling Slowly.
